Whether it be the large shipping containers, fishing boats, maybe if you are lucky a cruise ship or just general life on the beach you will find yourself watching for hours on end at the magnificent views from this very comfortable,warm holiday home in the seaside village of Kaka Point. This is a very relaxing, family friendly holiday home that has great sun decks to enjoy sitting in the sun or if it gets to warm retreat into the sunroom to watch tv or read a book while listening to the Bellbirds and Tui's. There is a great selection of books,games and even records to listen to or take as short stroll to the beach, playgrounds or shop for that ice cream and/or fish and chips. There is also a bar and restaurant for the big kids as well. Lots of things to see and do in Kaka Point, the famous, historic lighthouse at Nugget Point, take your camera for some panoramic pictures of the bays and the seal colony. While you are at Nugget Point you can time your visit to see the yellow eyed penguins or Hoiho at the penguin observatory. Stay a while and visit the remainder of The Catlins, there are a number of day trips to the popular spots of Purakaunui Falls, The Cathederal Caves and Cannibal Bay to name just a few.
